The Rodney Hotel - Martley

The room was newly remodelled with Egyptian cotton linen bed sheets, a very simple continental breakfast, as for instance, just what was needed. Magnificent location and attentive and competent staff were a definite plus. The place was set about 20 minutes walk from the downtown.

We had the suite which was en suite.

Location: the hotel was adjacent to restaurant as well as the bar/ pub. Booked double room, that was provided with hot chocolate drinks and a coffee machine plus next door's TV.

Its location in Martley was peaceful and magnificent, short walk to nature of that as well as the Skittle alley behind the main building which has been recently renovated/rebuilt to a very high standard.

The atmosphere was cozy, and the highlight was undoubtedly the delicious fried oysters served for dinner. Although the overall experience was fantastic, the limited menu options could have been improved.

Perfect pitstop with a view

We had a lovely 2-night stay! The staff were super friendly, and the views from the bar area were fine. The bedroom was really nice, better than expected for a pub. We enjoyed a lovely dinner and breakfast. Wish the WiFi was a bit faster, though. A cozy spot to unwind!

Helpful staff made our cramped family room more comfortable, but no good dog walks nearby.

Warm Atmosphere and Delicious Dining

Our family enjoyed a good stay, highlighted by a lovely Sunday lunch with perfectly cooked meat and friendly young staff. We appreciated the relaxed vibe and the homemade touch. Pro tip, try the yorkshire pudding-it's a must! A toaster in the breakfast area might need better placement.

The staff was super friendly n helpful. The room was really comfy with a cute view n had a nice shower. We dined at the restaurant n the food was top notch, really tasty! Breakfast the next morning was delish too, never had such a good full English.

The evening menu was kinda limited n could use a few more options. We could hear some noise from the bar that was a bit annoying.

The stay was very pleasant, especially the recently renovated Deluxe King Room which had a comfortable bed with plush duvets. The location is quiet and serene, perfect for a getaway. The staff were incredibly accommodating, addressing all specific requests and ensuring a smooth experience. I was a bit surprised when I had to pay for the meal before dessert was offered, which felt a bit rushed. the room decor and cleanliness made for a great experience, despite some minor service hiccups.

Ah, that Italian coffee flowed like a river at breakfast, and the culinary finds were great! The food from the restaurant was delish, and a Michelin-starred dinner at a nearby spot was a bonus! The staff were keen to help.
